Founder Insight

The BEM Private Equity Network was created by former psychotherapist Jewel Love and investment strategist Jay Holmes, based on a simple premise:

Black-led PE firms don’t lack talent. They lack aligned infrastructure and relationship scale.

Jewel spent a decade healing Black men in the corporate world from psychological disorders, including social isolation. Jay raised and deployed capital, observing the disconnect between GPs and the capital networks they needed to grow.

Together, they created the BEM Private Equity Network—a peer infrastructure to support the world’s top Black men in private equity as they grow and lead firms into billion-dollar territory.
